Greenslade called up for European swimming champs

Greenslade's call-up comes on the back of a number of impressive performances.

University of Edinburgh scholar Kathryn Greenslade has been called up for the LEN European Short Course Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark next month.                        

Greenslade will compete in the Freestyle and Backstroke events having impressed at the BUCS Short Course meet earlier this month.

She will join fellow Winning Students scholars Kathleen Dawson and Duncan Scott (both University of Stirling) in the squad which includes some of British Swimming’s finest athletes.

The team will be led by World Champions Scott, Ben Proud, and Adam Peaty supported by a group of younger athletes looking to take their place within the senior set up.

Team Leader and Head Coach for the event Tim Jones said, “Kathryn has put in some strong performances in recent competitions, so this is her chance to gain big event experience and develop arena skills – whilst being part of a squad with proven medal winners.”
