Badminton Scholarships

Badminton players are nominated for a scholarship by BADMINTONscotland Chief Executive, Anne Smilie.

To be considered for selection, badminton players must:

  • Have medalled at European Championships, Commonwealth Games, or World Championships at Junior or Senior level from 1 May 2014, or;
  • Be a full-time member of the BADMINTONscotland Senior Training Squad or the GB programme, or;
  • Have been selected to represent their respective home nation at Senior level from and including 1 May 2014

The number of places is determined by the size of the award available to the sport and, should the applications outweigh the scholarships available, places will be awarded in accordance with the above prioritised list of criteria.

BADMINTONscotland has until 30 September to submit nominations for the current year. For further details of the nomination and selection process, or to confirm your eligibility, please contact BADMINTONscotland Head of Performance Administration, Penny Dougray.
