Winning Students

Swimming Scholarships

Swimmers are nominated for a scholarship by Scottish Swimming Performance Director, Ally Whike, and Disability Performance Development Manager, Paul Wilson.

To be considered for selection, swimmers must:

  • Be a member of the Scottish Swimming Senior Gold or Silver Squad or;
  • If from another home nation, have achieved a standard of 790 FINA points

To be considered for selection, disability swimmers must:

  • Have confirmed IPC, INAS-FID, or ICSD International classification and be eligible to represent Great Britain at the Paralympic or Deaflympic Games, and;
  • Achieve a minimum of 500 British Disability Points in at least one IPC or ICSD Championship event

The number of places is determined by the size of the award available to the sport and, should the applications outweigh the scholarships available, places will be awarded based on the FINA points system or the British Disability Points System.

Scottish Swimming has until 30 September to submit nominations for the current year. For further details of the nomination and selection process, please contact Ally Whike.
