Isabella Fioretti: A Knockout Talent in the Making

12 June 2026

Meet Isabella Floretti – a rising boxing star who’s fighting her way to success.

Based in Inverness, each week Isabella makes the journey to Boxing Scotland’s high performance centre in Glasgow to train in the best possible environment surrounded by some of the country’s best coaches and athletes.

It’s here that she sharpens her skills, builds her strength and lays the groundwork for a future in boxing.

A student at UHI Inverness, Isabella is proof that you can chase big ambitions both inside and outside the ring.

With the support of Winning Students 100 – Scotland’s national sports scholarship programme – she’s able to balance the demands of elite boxing with her studies, showing that success in sport and education can go hand in hand.

As the first boxer ever backed by the scheme, Isabella can fully commit to both her boxing ambitions and her academic journey at UHI Inverness, without having to choose one path over the other.

As an exciting young talent carving out her place in Scottish boxing, her journey reflects the power of passion, opportunity and the importance of tailored support – and she’s just getting started.

Winning Students 100 is a world-leading dual career programme, making a valuable investment in the future of Scottish sport and education in order to nurture future champions and bright minds.

The scheme, funded by Scottish Funding Council and sportscotland, provides a comprehensive support system that empowers athletes to achieve their full potential at college and university, and within their sport.

Winning Students 100 is currently supporting 106 student athletes, spanning 31 sports and 18 further and higher education institutions.
